Where did life come from? How were we created? Who is the author of our lives? These are big questions that need to be answered.
Christianity and Buddhism share completely different views on who the author of life is.
Genesis 2:7 says this about creation:
Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.
Genesis 2:7
On the contrary, Buddhism has no answer to who is the author of life. According to Buddhists, life has just occurred by natural processes. Dumb luck for us.
Ravi Zacharias says in Jesus Among Other Gods:
“Jesus also unequivocally stated that God is the author of life and that meaning in life comes through Him. This assertion would be categorically denied by Buddhism, which is a nontheistic if not atheistic religion.”
Ravi Zacherias
The Bible makes it clear that God is the author of life, but Buddhism as no answer to this deep and important question. Instead, they believe in an absent, pantheistic God.
Every book ever written has an author, but Buddhism does not have an author, it is a painting with no painter, a movie with no director, and a philosophy with no foundation.
