How old is the earth?
This is a question that I have spent many nights thinking about, and I still don’t have an answer and I don’t know if I ever will.
If you are a Christian, you are almost just as likely to say the earth is over a million years old as you are to say the earth is less than 15,000 years old.
In a new survey, of over 1800 people from 50 countries, 45.2% of Christians respondents said that the earth is less than 15,000 years old. 40.7% said that the earth was over a million years old and 14.1% said the earth is between 15,000 and a million years old.

What does this mean for Christianity?
In my opinion, nothing. I think that an Old Earth and a Young Earth could be argued for and not intrude on the inerrancy of the bible.
In my opinion, it is more important THAT the earth was created, not WHEN.
